WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES OF MAY 10, 2010

 

 

 

 

Call to Order and Roll Call

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Richard Fain.  Township Supervisors in attendance were Richard Fain, Ben Fiorito, Eugene Fried and Mary Gibbs Kershner.  Township staff members in attendance were Jeffrey Ashman, Fire Marshal, Larry Buck, Road Foreman, Edward Skypala, Township Solicitor, John Weber, Township Engineer and Stanley Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.

Citizens in attendance did not present comments.

 

2010 Road Projects

 

The 2010 road projects were presented.

 

Cable Television Franchise Agreement

 

Chairman Fain requested that Township Supervisor Fiorito, Township Manager Stanley Seitzinger, Jr. and the Township Solicitor’s office participate in a review of the proposed Cable Television Franchise Agreement update.

 

National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training

 

Emergency Management Coordinator Jeffrey Ashman provided an overview.  It was noted that additional training was tentatively scheduled for the last week of June.

 

Review of May 11, 2010 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting Agenda

 

The agenda was reviewed.

 

Other

 

Recycling

 

Mrs. Kershner reported that there was nothing new to report on the proposed Renewable Energy Festival.  Mrs. Kershner reported that the committee recently reviewed a proposed recycling ordinance.

 

Resident Control of Pets

 

A citizen inquired as to whether Upper Hanover Township maintains rules and regulations regarding pet owner’s responsibilities for keeping their animals under control.  The resident noted recent difficulties involving dogs wondering onto adjacent properties.  The Board of Supervisors recommended that the citizen get in contact with the Pennsylvania State Dog Warden assigned to Montgomery County.

 

Adjournment

 

Mrs. Kershner moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:24 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fried and carried affirmatively.
