UPPER HANOVER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES OF APRIL 12, 2010

Call to Order and Roll Call

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Richard Fain. Township Supervisors in attendance were Shannan Bieler, Richard Fain, Ben Fiorito, Eugene Fried and Mary Gibbs Kershner. Township staff members in attendance were Jeffrey Ashman, Fire Marshal, Edward Skypala, Township Solicitor, John Weber, Township Engineer and Stanley Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.

Citizen Comments

Bill Fenley inquired on the status of the waterline installation on Ziegler Road. Mr. Skypala reported that the project should be completed by the first week of May.

Rod Wood reported that James Road Bridge is scheduled to be opened shortly.

Rod Wood presented comments in support of an upgrade to the Geryville Pike/Route 663 traffic signal.

Upper Perkiomen Valley Regional Comprehensive Plan

The Board of Supervisors discussed the update to the Upper Perkiomen Valley Regional Comprehensive Plan.

2010 Road Projects

The 2010 road projects were rescheduled for discussion at the May meeting.

Review of April 13, 2010 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting Agenda

The agenda was reviewed.

Other

Township Manager Seitzinger reported upon the receipt of a letter from Governor Ed Rendell documenting the official appointment of Jeffrey Ashman as the Upper Hanover Township Emergency Management Coordinator.

Bill Fenley inquired if Upper Hanover Township forwarded the letter to Lower Milford Township regarding the proposed quarry in the Mill Hill area. Township Engineer Weber reviewed the contents of the letter that was sent to Lower Milford Township.

Adjournment

Mrs. Kershner moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fried and carried unanimously.
