The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Richard Fain. Township Supervisors in attendance were Shannan Bieler, Richard Fain, Eugene Fried and Mary Gibbs Kershner. Township staff members in attendance were Jeffrey Ashman, Fire Marshall, Larry Buck, Road Foreman, John Weber, LTL Consultants, Ltd., Edward A. Skypala, Township Solicitor, and Stanley Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.
Citizens in attendance did not present comments.
The Board of Supervisors and representatives and members of the Upper Hanover Authority Board of Directors discussed current, ongoing projects and future projects. The next joint meeting was proposed for August 4, 2009.
Barn Rent – Peevy Road Open Space Area
The Board of Supervisors
discussed providing a $200.00 additional payment to Dr. Early for barn rental
not realized at the former Early Tract property following the sale of the barn
by
Dedicated Fire Tax Millage
Representatives of the various local fire companies presented a request for increase dedicated fire millage tax as follows:
2010 .3 mills
2011 .4 mills
2012 .5 mills
Discussion ensued regarding ongoing recruitment drives and the needs of the local fire companies.
It was noted that the project bids received were over the established budget. Discussion ensued.

Other
Mrs. Bieler requested a clarification of the Township Engineer regarding a reference to the Camelot Park Trail as listed on the most recent engineers report.
Mrs. Bieler requested that Mr. Fried provide an update on current activities under review.
Roderick Wood inquired on the status of ongoing negotiations with the Upper Perk Police Department. Roderick Wood questioned whether the ongoing bankruptcy proceeding litigation was pending litigation or an action against the bond.
