UPPER HANOVER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 8, 2009

 

 

 

Call to Order and Roll Call

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Richard Fain.  Township Supervisors in attendance were Shannan Bieler, Richard Fain, Eugene Fried, Mary Gibbs Kershner and Eugene Marks. Township staff members in attendance were Jeffrey Ashman, Fire Marshal, Larry Buck, Road Foreman and Chris Mowery, Township Solicitor.

 

Citizen Comments

 

Roderick Wood presented comments regarding the proposed ordinance to regulate outdoor burners. 

 

Tim Rementer reviewed a drainage problem located at his property at Gene Road and Hoch Road.

 

Bill Fenley presented comments regarding the proposed outdoor wood burner ordinance.

 

Street Address Numbers Ordinance Implementation Status Update

 

The Board of Supervisors and Township Fire Marshal Jeffrey Ashman reviewed the implementation status of the previously adopted Street Address Numbers Ordinance. 

 

11th Street Traffic Signal

 

Mrs. Bieler reported upon the status of the funding for the 11th Street traffic signal installation.

 

Fruitville Road Bridge

 

Discussion ensued regarding the Fruitville Road Bridge.  Mr. Fried moved to authorize forwarding a letter to the Montgomery County Roads and Bridges Department expressing Upper Hanover Township support for the complete demolition and removal of the existing bridge and the construction of a new bridge on the same alignment.  The motion was seconded by Mr. Marks.  The motion carried affirmatively with Mr. Fried, Mr. Marks and Mr. Fain voting yes and with Mrs. Bieler and Mrs. Kershner voting no.

 

Review of June 9, 2009 BOS Regular Meeting Agenda

 

The agenda was reviewed.

A.  Field Maintenance

 

Discussion ensued regarding the field maintenance at Camelot Park.

 

Adjournment

 

Mrs. Kershner moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:29 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fried and carried unanimously.
