NEW UHT CENSUS UPDATES

· The 2010 Census reports that Upper Hanover Township (UHT) totaled 2,424 housing units with 2,354 occupied to give UHT the lowest available vacancy rate in Montgomery County at 1.2%.

· Housing units indicate 91.9% owner occupied and 8.1% renter occupied.

· Of the 2,354 UHT households, 79.9% are considered family households. This consists of 27.7% married couple with children, 43.2% married couple with no children, 4.3% single parent and 4.7% other.

· The percent of non-family households is 20.1% with 16.1% one person households and 3.9% two or more in non-family households.

· Average household size ranked #12 out of 62 Montgomery County communities at 2.75 persons.

· Population density ranks #60 out of 62 Montgomery County communities at 319 persons per square mile.
