The
Upper Hanover Township parks and recreation committee shall
serve as an advisory committee to the Upper Hanover Township
Board of Supervisors on matters relating to parks and recreation
planning and development. The Committee will:
1.Conduct surveys and analyze parks and recreation facility
needs in Upper Hanover Township.
2. Participate in the preparation of site development
plans for Township parks.
3. Participate in the review of park and recreation facilities
proposed within housing development in Upper Hanover Township.
4.Make recommendations for the budgeting, operation and
maintenance activities of Township
recreation facilities.
5.Review and recommend potential open space acquisitions
for future park development.
6. Assist in comprehensive planning updates relating to parks,
recreation and
open space.
The make-up of the Upper Hanover Township park and Recreation
Committee shall consist of Upper Hanover Township citizens
to be appointed for three year staggered terms by the Board
of Supervisors. The membership of the Committee shall in
January of each year annually select a member to serve in
the capacity of Chairman.
